ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Big Brothers Big Sisters has officially hired their newest Executive Director after Mollie Crooks left the position following the November election that made her a Muskingum County Commissioner.
The Executive Director is now Jenni Masterson a former Big Brothers Big Sisters Board Member. Masterson said she’s looking forward to working with the board to see what they can do to help the organization grow.
“I think I’m most looking forward to again working with this community because it’s so great and to all the kids in the area,” Masterson said. “I’ve raised my kids, I’ve got four children and the youngest is in college. So I’m looking forward to raising some more right here at home.”
Masterson said the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is changing children’s lives for the better and Masterson has always believed that if you want to change the world; you have to start at home.
“It’s been proven with research that this can help kids achieve success in life and they can go on to stay away from drugs, to finish school, to maybe make a success of their lives and to give back to the community as well,” said Masterson.
Masterson’s first day of work will be February 10, 2017 and she is inviting the community to join her and Big Brothers Big Sisters on February 13, 2017 during their Kick-Off Event at the Barn from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. They’ll be discussing Bowl for Kids Sake.
