ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Country music fans in Zanesville got to hear one of the biggest names in the business Sunday night at Secrest Auditorium.

County star Sara Evans played a Christmas concert in front of a near sell out crowd. Sara Haren with Dusty Guitar Promotions said that Evans has a big following in Muskingum County.

“It’s been several years now, I believe it was back in 2003, the last time she was in Zanesville so it’s long overdue. She’s very popular. She’s very kind and she has a very loyal fan base because she is good to her fans,” said Haren.

The Philo High School choir was given the chance to open for Evans. The long time county star played several of her hits and some Christmas classics.

“You’re going to hear ‘Born to Fly’ and ‘Suds in the Bucket,’ ‘Stronger,’ which are her huge hits,” said Haren. “You’ll hear several of those and you’ll hear a few other really popular Christmas tunes.”

This was Evan’s last stop on her tour for 2016. She’ll continue the tour in mid-January in Philadelphia.
