Newark Police ask the public’s help providing information into a weekend shooting.
Police say 39-year-old Kevin Skeese, was shot in his own home at 245 West Church Street in Newark on Sunday evening around 7:20.
When officers arrived they found only a female witness and her teenage son hiding in a bedroom.
Authorities said Skeese was in the home’s laundry room when two suspects forced their way in through the back door and shot him multiple times.
The suspects, a white male and an African American male fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Skeese also fled to a friend’s residence nearby.
Newark Fire Department responded and transported Skeese to Ohio State University Hospital.
