A local family owned business supported those researching Breast Cancer.

Coconis Furniture had a deal during the month of October that every mattress set sold $999.00 or more, they’d donate $50 in the customer’s name to the American Cancer Society. General Manager, Bo Coconis said this is a program they can help out with for years to come.

“Breast Cancer means so much to a lot of people it touches everyone’s lives and when we had this opportunity to team up with the American Cancer Society it just made sense for us,” said Coconis. “It’s something we believe in, trust in, and felt that it was giving us the opportunity to really help out the community in a way that we felt was right.

The American Cancer Society, Senior Market Manager, John Largent said the money raised through the month of October will help the American Cancer Society locally.

“Research to help find a cure it will also help with transportation, we do have a wig bank here that provides wigs to patients that have been through chemo, [and] cancer services like our look good feel good program as well,” said Largent.

Coconis said there were 47 entries, so they were able to provide the American Cancer Society with a check for $2,350.
