South Zanesville United Methodist Church host Scrap Metal Drive

SOUTH ZANESVILLE, Ohio- South Zanesville United Methodist Church wants your unwanted scrap metal.

The church is hosting its third annual scrap metal fundraiser beginning now until the end of December. Take your wanted items to Muskingum Iron and Metal located at 345 Arthur Road.

“They’ll give you a slip for your tax records,” South Zanesville United Methodist Church, Fundraising Coordinator, Conrad Wilkins said. “We’ll get credit for the weight at the at end of December. We cash that out and get the money for it.”

“We’re in need of freezers,” South Zanesville United Methodist Church, Food Pantry Coordinator, Joyce Krouskoupf said. “We have some old freezers that keep running and it run up the electric bill. So if you have a used freezer that is in great shape or if you like to make a donation to help us raise the funds to get a new freezer that would be great.”

Wilkins said in addition to the scrap metal drive, the church will host two spaghetti dinners from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the November 4th and December 10th.

“If you’re hungry, come out. If you can afford a few dollars great. If you can’t afford anything we would love to have you here,” Wilkins said.

Wilkins said if you don’t have any scrap metal but still would like to contribute, stop by the church Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to make a donation of cash or bring in can goods.
