A man wanted by Columbus Police is behind bars thanks to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
The Perry County Sheriff’s Office reported Columbus Police requested assistance locating and apprehending 32-year-old Kyle Payton Smith.
He’s wanted in Columbus on charges of involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs, drug trafficking and drug possession.
Perry County Deputies were directed to 3319 Bearfield Township Road 293 Southeast in Corning as being a possible location for Smith.
After a hour long stand-off, Wednesday, Deputies apprehended Smith who was barricaded inside the home with the help of the department’s canine Argo.
Smith was transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville where he awaits extradition back to Franklin County.
