ZANESVILE, OHIO- The Zanesville Alumni Association is kicking off its biggest fundraiser of the year.
ZAA members are selling discount cards for the low price of $10.
“There are many perks,” board member Ron Bucci said. “There are 20 generous local merchants that have given a discount of some sort. I personally saved over $200 by taking advantage of this discount.”
Proceeds from this fundraiser go towards scholarships for graduating seniors. On June 18th ZAA will host an open house at 956 Moxahala Avenue at the Zanesville City Schools Administration building from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“We’re pretty proud of what we have,”chair person Janice McFerren said. “We have the yearbook for Zanesville High School we have those dating back to 1896. We have all of the Zanesvillians that were both published in both the Times Recorder and the Zanesville Signal newspaper over the years. There’s a lot of exciting scrapbooks, pictures, jackets, sweaters, and uniforms. I think people will really enjoy seeing what we have there.”
“53 local merchants stepped up and sponsor the back side of the card. Without their support we would be able to make this thing happen,” Bucci said.
ZAA will be selling the discount cards at the open house.
