COSHOCTON, Ohio – One of the largest banks in the area is expanding. Century National Bank, which has been based in Zanesville since 1886, will be opening a second location in Coshocton.
The original Coshocton location opened on the west side of the city 37 years ago. Now bank officials said the demand at their only location in Coshocton County has become too much and expansion is necessary.
“We have outgrown our location that we are presently at, and this is going to be an added convenience for our existing customers but hopefully to attract new customers as well,” said Assistant Vice President Jennifer Thompson. I hope that our goal is to expand, that’s what we always work toward is expansion.”
The new location will be adjacent to the Coshocton County Courthouse at 229 North Third Street. This will be Century’s 17th overall location and bank officials are excited about the chance to expand.
“We expect this to be a full service office,” said Beccy Porteus, who is the vice president for the Coshocton market. “So we will have services available at our Plaza location available at our new location on Third Street.”
The bank hopes that construction will begin later this year and that between the two branches they will be able to be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information you can visit their website at centurynationalbank.com.
