Crash Victim Identified

Local News

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the Licking County Coroner has identified the man killed earlier this month in a Fairfield County crash.

Dr. C. Jeff Lee said  the man killed in the accident is 21-year-old Zachary T. Farley of Glenford, Ohio.

The patrol said on April 14, around 6:30pm, 35-year-old Jason Stoll, of Newark, was traveling north on Custers Point Road in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado.

Stoll, who was hauling a trailer, pulled off the side of the road and came to stop partially blocking the northbound lane.

That’s when Farley’s vehicle, traveling north at a high rate of speed approached the stopped vehicle, lost control and crashed, catching the vehicle on fire.

The patrol believes alcohol to be a factor in the crash that remains under investigation.
