Money Released for Phase 2 of Buckeye Lake Project

Local News

More than $61.5 million  heads to the Buckeye Lake Dam Rehabilitation Project.

Republican Senator Troy Balderson, of Zanesville, said the money allocated in the state’s capital budget will assist in the second stage of the project.

Balderson said he’ll continue to work alongside local leaders to ensure that resources remain available to support the Buckeye Lake community.

The announcement follows news from earlier this weeks that the "Lakes in Economic Distress Grant Program" will provide additional economic distress assistance for businesses impacted by lower lake levels.

Applications are now available for grants of up to $10,000 as well as various loan options. Eligible businesses must be located in one of Buckeye Lake’s surrounding counties, have been in operation for at least two years prior to the ODNR distress declaration and have experienced at least a 40 percent reduction in revenue since April 2014.
