In the spirit of giving, one local business is teaming up with a nationally known NBA star to bring Christmas to families in need.
The Kevin Martin youth foundation and Tim McHugh are once again teaming up to make a difference in the lives of 10 area families in Zanesville.
“We are wrapping gifts that we bought for the Kevin Martin Youth Foundation and Tim McHugh’s car dealership, and they are sponsoring families in need for Christmas this year. You go out, buy the gifts, then we come here, and we wrap them. They get the families from the elementary schools. Principals will call and ask. It’s really about the kids and everything,” said Samantha Moore.
The National Honor Society students from Zanesville High school did all the shopping. The NHS students along with the girls high school softball team assisted in the wrapping of the gifts tonight at the Weatherington Woods venue on Olde Falls road.
“It actually feels nice to be able to give back to the community and know that you are helping the kids and families in need around Christmas, that are actually trying and just can’t afford to provide for them,” said Moore.
All of the gifts will be donated to the families this Friday. To receive more information about the Kevin Martin Youth Foundation, you can visit the website at www.kmart23.com
