The beautiful colors of fall foliage seen around the area will further emerge as the season progresses.
As the winter months near, now is the perfect time to get out and enjoy all of the fun activities autumn has to offer. Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, Kelly Ashby, said there are plenty of fall events on tap this season.
"This weekend, 40-East Fall Festival, hit all of the shops between here and New Concord and enjoy the specials, and sales, and savings, and a lot of hands-on activities, as well," Ashby said. "Specifically at the National Road Zane Grey Museum, there are fun crafts for kids to do."
As the leaves continue to change colors, there will be plenty of good sightseeing opportunities in our area to enjoy the scenery. The Lorena Sternwheeler is offering fall foliage cruises through the end of October.
"Fall is the perfect time of year to travel, and see all of the great things in the area, especially because of the colors that are out, and it’s the perfect time to get out and take a nice drive," Ashby said.
For more family fun, McDonald’s Greenhouse and Corn Maze will be open through October 31.
