This year’s Y-City Gun Fest featured raffles, entertainment and plenty of good eats.
The fest kicked off its 6th year at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Saturday. Despite the chilly conditions, hundreds of people packed the fairgrounds to join in the fun.
“With the $50 admission, you get free food, $1 beer, we have all kinds of games of chance, Texas Hold ’em, poker, quarter push machines, so there’s something for everybody,” said President, Joe Nash.
The Knight’s Foundation hosts the fundraiser to raise money to keep Catholic education alive in Muskingum County. Nash said the fest isn’t a “gun show,” just an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship.
“The Gun Fest is a gun raffle, and also cash raffle, the grand prize is the choice of one of three Harley’s, the reserved grand prize is a really nice gun, a Browning 1919, there is $500 cash on some of the hourly drawings and things,” Nash said.
