A Stockport man charged in a Muskingum County burglary has been placed at Appalachian Behavioral Health for treatment.
Zanesville Police said that 28-year-old Jeffrey New broke into a house on Fairmont Avenue in July of 2014 and tried to stab the homeowner.
This June both the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office and the defendents lawyer agreed that New was not competent to stand trial and he was found not guilty by reason of insanity in July.
