Zanesville Police says two people were injured Thursday morning after a car goes out of control striking two other vehicles before slamming into a building on Maple Avenue.
It happened at Cash Max and Little Caesars 11:30 a.m. Zanesville Assistant Fire Chief Chad Janes says the driver of the car, 57,-year-old Jeff Fouch of Zanesville slammed through the southern wall of the Cash Max building then through the wall of Little Caesars Pizza, hitting an employee. Police say Fouch was drinking some water while he was driving and was choking and trying to get pulled over. He stopped and accidentally had his foot on the gas instead of the brake.
Fouch and a passenger were uninjured. Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury says the 58-year-old Little Caesars employee was seriously injured suffering two broken legs. She was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital and then transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Her name was not released.
One other person who was in one of the two vehicles struck suffered minor injuries.Â Police say Fouch was citied for failure to control.
