Members of the Muskingum County Board of Elections were sworn in Monday afternoon.
Muskingum County Judge Eric Martin swore in two new board members, Karen Vincent and Charles Klein, along with Muskingum County Board of Elections Director, Chris Hamill, and Deputy Director Teresa Howell.
"There’s four board members and they are voted in a two year cycle," Hamill explained. "So there’s one Republican and one Democrat voted, appointed back in and two years after that, there’s another Republican and Democrat voted in."
Hamill says the Secretary of State requires the director, deputy director and board members be appointed every two years.
