Saturday was an afternoon of fun for kids in Zanesville’s Putnam Avenue District.
It was the 2nd Annual Family Fun Parade put on by the Putnam Pride Committee. The day began with a kids parade to the Salvation Army where Coordinator Joyce Krouskoupf said local donations make their way back into the community.
"We thought this is a great time to give it out to the kids and let them enjoy it," said Krouskoupf. "They’ve got soda bubbles, they’ve got sidewalk chalk, make -up stuff and all kinds of knick-knack stuff and they’re just excited."
Putnam Pride Committee President Grant Hutcheson said the day shines a positive light on an area commonly associated with crime.
