Charges were filed on Thursday in Muskingum County Juvenile Court against a group of teenagers stemming from a party where a Zanesville 14-year-old boy died.
According to the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office, charges of underage consumption have been filed against seven of the teens, while two of them are facing additional charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The charges are in connection with a party that took place in July at the Howard residence on Taylor Street.
Incoming Zanesville High School freshman Grant Hickman was found dead the following morning.
WHIZ attempted to reach Special Prosecutor Mark Collins, but he did not return our calls.
As for the adults involved in the case, Zanesville City Law Director Scott Hillis said he doesn’t expect charges to be filed before next week. He said at least four adults could face charges.
