Church Offers Family Fun

There’ll be plenty of fun to be had at one downtown Zanesville church this weekend.

Central Trinity United Methodist Church on 7th Street is hosting a community fun weekend. It includes open mic karaoke Friday night along with a live band. A flea market and craft show will also take place and kids games will be on hand.

"This is our first year for this and we’re learning this year," explained Trustee Romney Bunker. "Hopefully we’ll be doing it again next year and it’ll be much better."

Saturday the church will serve breakfast from 7:30am-9:30am. They’ll host a car and bike show as well. Registration for that event starts at noon with awards presented in the afternoon. A battle of the bands will also take place. While the church hopes to raise money it’s not what it’s all about.

"If we just get people to come and enjoy themselves then that’s fine," said Bunker. "You know it’s about the community and the number one thing is showing them what Central Trinity is all about."

The church will raffle off a digital camera and laptop computer this weekend and hosting a pedal tractor pull for adults and kids.
