It looks like a long-time bowling alley in Zanesville that closed will soon be reopening. Thursday the former Sunrise Bowl was sold at a Sheriff’s Sale in Muskingum County. Three men — two from Columbus including Robery Levy and one from Zanesville, Dusty Dean bought the property. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office website states the property is appraised at $600,000. It sold for $450,000. The operation shut down in September of last year after almost 50 years of business. Former owner Jeff Prindle and his wife Marti filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and despite attempting to reorganize their finances in a chapter 13 bankruptcy they were forced to shut down. The bowling alley is located at 1940 East Pike.
