Two ordinances relating to the city of Zanesville’s 2010 budget are tabled for two weeks.
The first ordinance would allow the administration to implement a furlough system for city employees.
The second ordinance refers to establishing pay, benefit and employment policies for unaffiliated employees.
Chairman of the Budget Committee David Tarbert recommended the ordinances be tabled because the issues haven’t been discussed.
A Ways and Means Committee meeting was scheduled for tonight, but was cancelled.
The City of Zanesville will continue it’s discussion on the 2010 budget at a meeting Wed., Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
That meeting will be open to the public.
Also at council tonight, two traffic orders were accepted.
There will be no parking on the east side of Melick Avenue from the alley to Fess Street.
The second traffic order will cause traffic on Cadillac Street to Clarendon Avenue.
