Zane State College is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In honor of the occasion, the college is holding a community festival.

“Today is all about saying thank you to our community and celebrating together with the people in our community, the 40 years of higher education that we have been able to provide to this region,” tells Pamela Jira, the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.

Kids jumped on the moon bounces as their parents enjoyed the beer garden and food vendors. K-9 officer Paco even made an appearance. But the highlight of the day was the corn hole tournament.

“We have the areas largest cornhole tournament. We have a number of teams competing right now for a very large prize and there was an entrance fee for that, but otherwise everything here is free and open to the public,” says Jira.

The first place winner will receive $500 dollars. Jira says she loves seeing so many people and families together.
