Park National Bank Robbed In Newark

Newark police are investigating a morning robbery at a Park National Bank.

It happened at approximately 9:21 a.m. at the branch on East Main Street.

Police say a white male around 50 years old walked into the bank and gave tellers a note demanding cash.

The man then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities say he was detained by bank security and Newark Police Officers in the area east of Miller’s Essenplatz Restaurant at 9:27 a.m.
