New School Year Set to Begin

The Zanesville City School District is ready to kick off another year.

Classes start Monday, and administrators have a couple reminders.

“Kids will be walking to school. I know a lot of people forget about that in the summertime. So, please be careful. Buses will be running. I ask the parents too to be patient with us because it is the first week, and it’s kind of a little bit crazy, but we are looking to have a great start, and i don’t see any problems at all, ” says Kevin Appleman of Zanesville City Schools.

Appleman says the district has been prepping all week and is looking to have a great start to the year.

“We have an opening ceremony that kicks the year off. Mr. Martin will be there, and we have a special speaker. So, you don’t want to miss that. So, that’ll just kick off the day, and at that time, the teachers will report to their buildings, ” says Appleman.

Appleman says to make sure kids have a great start to their day, no cost breakfast is back.
