More Details On McCrae Arrest

Local News

A local fugitive wanted for murder is now in custody.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says 23-year-old James McCrae was arrested in Wood County, West Virginia around seven o clock last night. Lutz says Captain Steve Welker gets the credit for the arrest of the suspect.

Lutz says Welker learned that McCrae would be in Vienna, West Virginia.

Authorties were then able to easily arrest the suspect without incident.

Mccrae has already been arraigned and is being held with no bond.

Tomorrow a West Virginia Judge will decide when he can be brought back to Muskingum County to face charges.
Mccrae is suspected of shooting 32-year-old Shane Goins in April at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Oak Street.
