The Zanesville art community wants to see you out on the bridge.

The Y-Bridge Festival kicked off just minutes ago for the first year of the event. Chair of the festival Linda Regula says there’s a lot to see and do.

“We’ll have 60 visual artists on the bridge, we have concessions down main street,” said Regula. “There is a stage setting right in the center. We have entertainment from 6 p.m. To 11 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Tomorrow until 11 at night.”

Regula says she hopes this is the first step in rejuvinating the downtown area, by promoting the local artists.

“We just hope people come out and enjoy and just learn what the arts are about and meet the high quality of artists we have in the area,” she said.

The festival runs today from 6 to 11 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
