Imagine covering 22 miles at eight miles per hour on a tractor.

Members of several Old Steam and Gas Clubs throughout the area chugged their way from Dresden to Roger’s Auction Barn in Adamsville for the 2nd Annual Tractor Drive, raising money for “Make a Wish” and having fun along the way.

“The fellowship of it. We get together and we have a noon meal,” explained Jan Schnider the president of the old steam and gas club. “We tell stories and talk about our tractors and so forth like that.”

One tractor driver road on a rig that’s been in her family for years.

“We just had a lot of fun and drive my dad’s tractor,” said Bonnie Bowden. “He bought it new in 1952 and I restored it before I quit work and I just ride it in parades and stuff like this for something to do.”

The clubs hoped to raise over $1,000 and will have a display at this year’s Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair.
