The Noble County Sheriff’s Department says a woman was killed Friday afternoon after accidentally burning herself.
Around 11:15 a.m. Friday the Sheriff’s Department was called to 49862 Batesville Road in Summerfield. There they found 57-year-old Paige Martin lying the the yard dead with burns to three-fourths of her body.
Witnesses say Martin was in a small tent pouring water onto hot rocks when she exited the tent and then collapsed onto the yard.
They attempted to administer CPR, but Martin could not be revived.
