Little Girl, Big Party

Nine-year-old Hannah Moody of Buckeye Lake is one spunky little girl with a big reason to celebrate.

In fact, you wouldn’t even know by looking at her that she and her family faced a deadly disease five years ago.

But, lucky for Hannah, her cancer vanished and she couldn’t be happier. Today her family threw a party in honor of her being cancer free for five years.

“It’s just exciting to be here right now,” said Hannah. “The doctor said I wasn’t going to live this long, that’s why we’re here. I just want to thank Dr. Tiberio so much for finding my cancer and thank God for healing me.”

Hannah’s step-father, Woody Ulman, says the family takes life one step at a time, and even today’s rainy weather couldn’t ruin the party.

“We could have had a little bit nicer weather, but that’s not going to stop us from having the party,” said Woody. “We just want to thank everybody in the community for what they’ve done throughout the years.”

At three years old, Hannah was diagnosed with Diffuse Anaplasia, a form of Wilms Cancer. This type of cancer affects the kidneys and can spread to the lungs.
