Cooler Weather Doesn’t Keep Families Indoors

Local News

The cooler weather couldn’t keep families from enjoying Lake Isabella today.

Families like Jim Pauley and his grandsons braved the cooler temperatures to camp, fish and stake out a good area for the annual family reunion.

“We were looking for it to be a little warmer than it is now, but we’re still enjoying it,” said Pauley.

“We’re going fishing and swimming a lot,” said Pauley’s grandson, Josh Kimble. “I’ll still try to go swimming even with the cold.”

Pauley says he enjoys sharing this small vacation with his family and leaving all distractions at home.

“We wanted to get away from the telephone for one thing and get away and do a little camping with my grandkids,” he said. “Tomorrow we’ll have a family reunion.”

Today’s temperatures were unseasonably cool, registering in the 60s. Normally this time of year, we should be seeing temperatures in the mid-80s, a 10 to 15 degree difference.
