After more than 50 years, the Village of Adamsville still celebrates homecoming every year.
The small town gathers every year to celebrate the heritage of their community.
“You get to see your neighbors who you maybe live next to, but you don’t get to see them all the time,” said President of the Adamsville Committee Progressive Council. “Other than that, the food. It’s pretty good food.”
Spiker says there is one thing everyone looks forward to.
“It’s a local farm tractor pull,” he said. “They started the lower-weight classes this morning and they’ll be pulling til 10 p.m. tonight. They normally have a pick-up truck pull after that. That’s usually fun to watch.”
This year’s homecoming also featured kids games, food, entertainment and fireworks.
Spiker says they expect to see many of the people in the village to come out for the event.
