A Zanesville woman faces charges in connection with a shooting incident at her home on Dryden Road.
According to Zanesville Police Detective Sgt. Ric Roush, 23-year-old Mysti Mayle is charged with one count of felonious assault with a gun specification.
She’s currently being held in the Zanesville City Jail.
Thursday night, Zanesville Police were dispatched to Genesis Bethesda Hospital in regards to a 23-year-old man who was being treated for a gunshot wound to his right hip area.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
After further investigation by detectives, it was found that Mayle fired a handgun and struck the victim near the front porch of the home during a domestic dispute.
Mayle’s case will go before a Muskingum County Grand Jury on Wednesday.
