Perry County Man Wanted On Drug Convictions

A Mount Perry man has a warrant out for his arrest after failing to appear for the second day of his trial.

According to a press release from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, 34 year old Chad M. Stevenson was arrested back on January 15th of this year after Perry County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant as a result of a six month investigation into illegal manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Stevenson did appear for the first day of his two day jury trial, however he failed to appear for the second where he was convicted on a second degree felony count of illegal manufacturing of drugs and third degree felony count of illegal possession or assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs.

Once Stevenson is arrested on the bench warrant, he could face additional charges and will face sentencing as a result of the conviction.
