Ohio University Confirms 1 Bacterial Meningitis Case

Local News

Ohio University Dean of Students, Ryan Lombardi, is confirming that a male OU student has bacterial meningitis.

The young man, who lives in one of the university’s dormitories, was taken to a Columbus medical facility and hospitalized earlier this week.

A female OU student also remains hospitalized in Columbus for a probable case of the disease.

Lombardi says he’s spoken with both students families and says they are showing signs of improvement.

This is the third confirmed case of bacterial meningitis on OU’s main campus this year.
