Local Republicans Recognized

Too often good deeds go unnoticed.

But today the Muskingum County Republican Club wanted to help fix that. The group held a hog roast in honor of the service of local republican officals.

“What we’re doing is reaching out and thanking the locally elected trustees, officers, mayors, city council people. Just to thank them for their service,” said Chairman John Parker. “They do a lot of hard work to make Zanesville and Muskingum County a better place.”

Republicans from around the area came to say thank you to their party leaders.

“A lot of these people serve for years and very seldom do they get a thank you,” he said.

This is the first year for the dinner, which Parker says, he hopes to make an annual event.
