Haines Funeral Arrangements Announced

The Miller Huck Funeral home in McConnelsville has announced arrangements for Philo Girl’s Basketball Coach Dick Haines, who died on Thursday.

Haines viewing will take place on Sunday from 2pm to 8pm at the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ on Tabor Road in Stockport.

His funeral will be held Monday at 11am at the church.

Morgan County Sheriff’s officials say Haines died following a motorcycle accident on State Route 37 near Price Road when he struck a dog.

As coach of the Lady Electrics the last seven seasons he led the team to an MVL title in 2005-2006 and this past year guided them to the sectional finals.

Aside from his coaching duties he served as a custodian at Roseville Elementary.
