The baseball fields were packed today with dads, grandfathers and their kids, celebrating Father’s Day.
John Ormond was just one of the dads spending time with his children today at the ball field.
“I’m spending father’s day here with the kids, my son out here is playing baseball,” said Ormand. “I’m enjoying a nice day participating and keeping the kids busy.”
Ormond says although they were out at the park earlier, they’ll be continuing a Father’s Day tradition later in the day.
“We’re going to go visit his grandfather, my father’s grave and honor him on this day and bond and spend some time together,” he said.
Father’s Day is celebrated the second Sunday in June in the United States and 52 other countries.
It is believed to have been started in 1908 in West Virginia.
