Two people are taken to the hospital around 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon after an accident on the East Pike in front of the BP Station.

Video from the BP Station shows a red pick-up truck rolling over after being hit in the passenger side by a van.

“The tan van was traveling eastbound on US 22 and the red pick up truck was traveling west bound on US 22. The red pick-up turning left into the BP Station, failed to yield and the van struck it in the right side,” says Eric Williams, Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The driver of the pick-up Benjamin Applegate of Cambridge was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and then transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where he is in stable condition. He was charged with failure-to-yield.

The driver of the van, Misty Northrup from New Concord was treated and released. She was charged with driving under suspension.
